Boses the Movie

July 11, 2013 – I received an sms invite by the Happy Team of a free film showing @ Cinematheque and another call of the same film but from Tuburan Institute. Both of them are co-presenters.

So, since I’m quiet free that time, I said, yes. All I remember of the invite, it was entitled: “The Heart Speaks”, and the live violin by The Cast.

I was surprised to see that I was actually seeing Boses the Movie! I saw an ad running over at TV one time, and I remember saying to myself: “I wanna watch that film”. And what good luck!

And what a pleasant surprise to meet various people I know @ the film showing and the amazing people I just met! Woot.

julian duque & coke bolipata (with the Philippine Air Force who supports the Film’s Advocacy)

a musician and an artist, the only living son of the first Governor of Davao… Gov. Generoso. thanks tito leo for introducing Davao’s Treasure.

and ta-da…. the Film Director – Ms. Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil

I’m so enthused by her passion and advocacy… she’s been showing the film around the Philippines the past couple of years for free.. and just recently some government agencies are showing interest and supporting her already. Like DEPED and the Philippine Air Force, who were with us during the film showing. Since, the captain himself is a supporter.

And Julian Duque and Coke Bolipata (who is a Julliard graduate by the way!) were just simply SUPERB!! they rendered 3 music using their violins. Ahhhh I consider them our National Treasure! Way to go.. and cheers for movies like this. πŸ™‚

eagles in love

When my family visited the Philippine Eagle Center, first week of June to tour a friend from Manila who really wanted to see the Eagles, we were on time as it was the Philippine Eagle week.

And with that, our entrance was free, and we bagged ourselves a free “volunteer” tour guide! Nifty, right? [free stuff!]

I have always fancied eagles, and seeing them up in the air (still lucky in this part we get to see some species of eagles flying every now and then) brings joy to me and I consider them to be good omens, like the rainbows among other things.

That day, I was particularly interested with how the eagles “court” one another. And I’m sure by now, you all know that eagles choose just one partner – for LIFE.

Their “courting” ritual would last up to two (2) years.

In captivity, they will be directed to a dome where the male would woo the female. Instead of flowers, the male eagle would offer food to the female. And the female eats it.Β To signify, surrender a girl bows down to male after the pre-coupling vocals.

In the wild, a male Philippine Eagle would create a nest before courting. Male eagle makes noise when he is ready to attract a mate and usually goes to the camp of the female to woo her. Once the time has come, that they found a partner or mate, they both do a dive chase and free falls to the nest.

The breeding season of eagles is July.

So, you see? Even eagles would take up to two years to choose πŸ˜‰

the normal life span of an eagle is 20 years, but to the Philippine Eagle Center we have as old as 45 years. Also, they breed like humans, they only hatch eggs, once every two years. Thus, it is really quiet an effort to breed them.

They are still considered endangered and good thing we have the Philippine Eagle Center who is dedicated to breed and keep this mighty and powerful species. πŸ™‚

Also, did you know that having an eagle in an ecosystem is a check whether our ecosystem is in balance? Eagles are also an important climate change indicator species, and they are largely affected when our rainforests are not being protected.

What other animals, birds or species do you find interesting?

Note: If you want to adopt an eagle and name it after you, you have to sign a contract where you donate 125,000/year for 5 years for it’s food, maintenance, and medication.

did a meteorite just fell from the sky?

It was almost 3 in the morning of May 22, 2013 in Davao City, when I heard something fell from our roof. I paused as I heard a loud thud. And then thought, “ahh must’ve been a mango”, but my mind argued “It’s too far from the mango tree and it sounded like something larger than a mango. Large enough to be a “manananggal” or a human being who just jumped onto our roof.”

But, when I paused and turned off my music, there was only silence. And, so since it was almost 3am (and you know what happens during 3 in the morning) I dismissed the idea and went back to what I was doing.

Around 12:30noon I saw a Facebook post from Art: Β “now what the fvck just exploded a while ago? the dogs were howling and barking…no firetruck nor police sirens…must be something fell from the sky or that was just my fart? lol but seriously…dafuq was that…it was also heard from different parts of Davao like here in Lanang to Matina to Calinan…still wondering what could that be…”

and among the comments were this:

same ta. saba among iro unya naay nibuto den nilihok ang glass sa anong windows. unsa kaha tu?” (same here. our dog is noisy and then there was a blast our windows even shook. what do you think that was?) – J. H.

Kusog pud akung pagkadunog diri ba.” (it was also loud on my end) ”Β Bajada ra ko murag ni gawas si boy pick up #Boom pinakalit naa pa dyud ni siga. :))” (im in Bajada, it’s like boy pick up #Boom came out of nowhere and there was even a flash πŸ™‚ ) – J. B.

Kadungog pd btaw ko. Pero abi nako iring lang na natagak gikan sa langit” -(“I heard that too, but i thought it was just a cat falling from the sky”) Β E.A.

“Unsa to nahitabo gabie, naa’y sparkling shimmering falling star tapos pag crash dako kaau ang boto .. Kinsa nakabalo ? Buanga lagii” (What happened last night? there was a sparkling shimmering falling star that crashed with a loud bang. Who knows about it? It was crazy!”)

It was funny because, we all thought it was an alien (ufo). But, following thru conversations and confirmations from different people in different areas, and with that “falling star” comment. We can deduce it… to a “meteorite”.

Like the one in Russia back in February: Meteorite hits Russia lighting sky, shattering windows.

So, where is the crash site? And we cannot just dismiss it.. because clearly a lot of people heard about it and just “ignored” it.

On one of my posts H.Burgers commented: “I hear alot talking of it on some of my staff said the same too but I dont know”

Well, it may have been a small one.. but just made a huge blasting sound! Or… .could it be that it was supposed to be big and other “helpful beings” just shrank it’s size? (if you can check the Russian video, you can see that it was large from a far but when it grew nearer the surface area it went smaller. Physics! explain!)

Anyhooo… those are just some of the things… that is bothering me this week.

birthing a new era

we are still here. alive and kickin`! not, that i was expecting something as large as an ice age or meteor falling or aliens beaming us up to godknowswhere.

I guess the lightworkers did their job well! *cheers* There were simultaneous global meditation happening at 11:11 GMT and other events creat

ing good vibes… and well.. wadaaaaa. keep the good vibes steady, everyone! We need that in this new era/dimension. πŸ™‚

that was one gentle re-birth. mmmmm… but… the birthing is still going on! at least, the purification stage is way past it.. and we are ready to welcome the Light. Truth. Love. Cooperation. Kindness. Joy. Peace. Creativity. Abundance.

Of course, there will be battles as the old struggles to hang on, but then… love and light will totally melt them away.. or transmute them.

Yesterday, we celebrated it… in our community. We invited different people of different religious backgrounds and beliefs, advocacies, culture… and all from different fields too.

It was fun.

There were singing, dancing, laughing and some cryin`….

A select few gave out their vision…. for the coming generations. I was one of them. I gave out my vision for the youth. πŸ™‚ There were visions for government, business, education, environment, natural farming, music & arts, spirituality, peace, and the mindanao agenda….

we also placed our wishes… on a wishing tree for our families and the world….

we also gave gifts and greeted each other Happy Birthday! (yeah, that may seem weird.. but we are just doing what we know best… to transcend and include… for the coming cycle…. another 5,126 years again? wooohoo!)

I am just blessed to be born at such a time as this…. i guess in a way,… my soul waited for this event.

exciting days ahead!!! πŸ™‚

btw, check out my guest post on Denoy’s blog: Friends

Call Me, Maybe

I know how famous this song is! I’ve seen it’s lyrics all over facebook updates and when I got curious enough to want to hear the song… I immediately knew why it became FAMOUS.

It’s like Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are”….

it appealed to everyone’s emotions.

Everyone can pretty much “relate” and feel like it’s them singing those songs. As simple as it may sound, even though you did not get to actually approach the guy or the girl enough to say these lines:

Hey, I just met you and this is crazy,
But here’s my number so call me maybe
It’s hard to look right at you baby,
But here’s my number so call me maybe”

Singing the song, fulfills the desire to approach the person.

Yeah, might be a song that can be an “escape”… but hey, maybe one day you get the guts to actually go and approach the guy/girl. πŸ˜›

So, why am I talking about this? Well, I just had my call me, maybe.. moment.

I literally feel like I was in some sort of a movie… where our eyes would lock… and yeah it was like seeing the sparks flying in between the distance. And we’d both look away smiling… and look away.. and look back… HAHA. ewan. it feels squishy mushy

I feel his hesitation because I was with a cousin that time… so he never got around to it.. and I can’t definitely approach him, righttttt?? HAHA. anyway, he is just here in Davao.. and you know how Davao is a small world… despite how everyone thinks it’s the largest city and all. So yeah, i hope the Fates will let us literally bump into each other. Nyahahahaha. NAGWISH ba? πŸ™‚

I just like the feeling.. is all. πŸ™‚ No addictive demands here, just enjoying the energy exchange with sparks. πŸ˜›
