The person you depend on the most may leave you, but God never will.

And He shows His love by allowing me to meet gentle people.

And this time… I am introduced to teenagers! I am humbled by my experience with the teenagers, they are going through so much and it is hard that the adults in their lives whom they depend on the most… Abandons them.

But, now they choose to forgive their parents because the parents did not know how…

My small group was a gem! Even though there were two makulits hehe. But, the leader of the team is with me. I am also the Chief. I received good feedback and i felt i handled myself well despite my emotions peaking and diving but I stayed grounded and centered for the kids. I am guided, as always.

Service to God from now on will go first, then my family. 💕❤️  Anyway, in the end they will always be the one who will never abandon you. If one day, I will be blessed with someone who will love me truly, and who will never leave me.. I’d be honored. But, for now.. If this is how it would be with me.. I choose to be happy where God will take me.

My 2 day workshop with the kids was a good prelude for the upcoming Holy Week. It made me look deeper inside and cleansed me from remaining pains and the current resentment building within me. But, I choose Love. *hugshugsGodandtheangels*

Thank you for always enveloping me with your Love through the Kids (Shawn, Josh, thyra) amazing facilitators Bam and Ryan (who really inspired me in a different way), my awesome buddy Myra, my superduper loving sister Darlene and beloved ate Kates! Oh and there’s kulit Anot!

I am deeply inspired by Sir Yet and Sir Jayvee who is generous enough to minister to the kids. I can feel their love and care. I am comforted that Davao is blessed with powerful people like Sir Yet and Jayvee who chooses to bless other people in our city in a large scale.

I am confident, Philippines is transforming 💕

We had an awesome dinner the past 2 days as well.

And that one is another story…

Meeting of the Titans

What a day! What a way to spend the first day of April…. I don’t even know where to start because this is one of the days.. I will want to remember…

It started out with a sweet morning with my darlingboo… and with him giving me my first april fool’s joke!

Boo: Break na tayo!
Me: Ha??? Why? Huhuhuhu
Boo: Wehehe. April Fool’s!!
Me: Hay salaaamaat!!! Kala ko totoo
Boo: bakit ? Gf ba kita?
Me: Ay oo nga pala! Hihihi BF lang nga naman kita, at BF mo ko.. And di yun nab-break eh!

I swear! Lakas naman bumawi ni boo.

After my usual sweet extraordinary morning with him..

I got myself ready for this big day! Today, I initiated a meet-up with two of my mentors. One is Hawaiian visiting us and another is a Filipino.

I knew they are destined to meet! And what better way, than to fetch the Hawaiian mentor whom I will call BC and my Filipino Mentor whom i will call Ninang…..

When BC saw me earlier as I fetched him, he said: You know, you have a gift… It is your presence… It makes people wanna go: *sigh* and relaxed… Like a wave of relief. Well, i know you are not like this sometimes cause you go through challenges on your own… But, when you are like this.. Peaceful.. This is you….

I laughed and was humbled to hear that and thanked him for the affirmation that I am doing my part in giving service to humanity and the people around me by my mere presence.

Ever since I attended the workshop of BC last September of year 2012… I had a flash that Ninang needs to meet him.

BC visited many times after that but never had the chance to sit down with ninang. They did meet once in Manila….but that was it.

Anyway, the initial plan was just to drop BC off and I won’t stay that long.. But then when I was about to leave, they both asked me to stay.

The Titans asked me to stay?!!!! Of course, I stayed and listened to the whole conversation…

How both of them have similar mission and purpose in life. What I admire about them is that both of them are clear with what they are doing and have given up all the extravagant lifestyle to live simply so they can teach others to simply live! They are here to help spread love and respect and to walk the talk… And how you can use your own gifts God gave you to aid in the journey of spreading love, kindness and peace and abundace throughout humankind…

With BC, he always emphasizes: No one should be left behind.

Both of them are concerned how to reach the grassroots because we all need to help them.

And with that a strong alliance was made… Both of them are coming up of ways to support the healing and the birthing of love in the deep recess of our hearts…

I had goosebumps and a lot of a-ha moments listening to the two of them…

There were just so many things happening! And it’s like something sure is happening around the world.. Because why the two needs to meet? And with urgency to gather all…. to aid the healing.. of all relationships, and bringing in Love… And to Respect another.

I served them lunch that time.. I dropped off BC at a certain mall and on the way.. I squealed when I heard a faint familiar music playing in the background:

“And i can change the world, I will be the sunlight in your universe”

I said: BC!!!!! Listen to the song!

And he smiled and said: That’s a sign! Because what we had in mind will change the world 🙂

They had a discussion that America is slowly losing its identity because it doesn’t know it’s roots. Only Hawaii has a culture left, but its being westernized day by day and many young are forgetting the roots. And it doesn’t have culture unlike most countries like the Philippines. The only way America will find itself is through war because they were founded through war. It has gone numb.

But, in the Philippines it is here that BC found the most faith-based country. Everything spiritual is very automatic in the Philippines. Everyone anchors with God and our Source…. that’s why he keeps coming back.
And it is here he feels most love…..

After that the song “Someday We’ll Know” played and we had a brief discussion about the missing Malaysian plane… And then “Sleeping Child”

Those three songs gave us affirmation the connection of our Divine life purpose to the world..

Afterwards, I conducted a workshop.. Its our last session and our closing and it went really well.. Its a different story altogether…

And then after that.. We headed off to another office of ours… And met the others where we stayed till quarter to 11? Or something… And discussed about what more we can bring in … and how we can better service the world…through our friends and families and people who will come to us … and journey with.

But, not after giving everybody the april fool’s joke that BC and ninang’s meeting did not go well and they had a huge fight..
Some caught the joke right away.. The others their faces were like: Huwaaaaay??? Huwaaat?!!! How can that beee?!!

So laughtripppp!!

My day ended well too .. Boo stayed up with me till our ka-meet arrived… And and and I saw sweet ecards on my inbox… I was so touched with that. It’s one of my boo’s winning moves! You always make me happy talaga!

It’s the fourth month… And not even halfway 2014 but im experiencing bliss with my boo and everybody around me.
To the point someone mentioned..

“I like your makeup today!!”

And i was like: But, i didnt wear any makeup at all today?

Ahhh must be my happy aura.. Since my vision is happening.. And I know and i am rested because i havethe support of my family and friends and my boo to come home to.. At night and to wake up with every morning….

I also thank my Loving Father, the Source, my God… of always guiding me.. I know there are times I doubt myself but the past two weeks … Your message was: Believe….
Which affirmed me to believe in what I do… And what You want me to do…
And last Saturday your message was: Love

Thank you…

I do believe…

Yours in Love,

Read All About It: Pork Barrell Scam

You’ve got the words to change a nation, but you’re biting your tongue. You’ve spent a life time stuck in silence, afraid you’ll say something wrong.

If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song. So come on ,come on…Come on, come on

You’ve got a heart as loud as lions, So why let your voice be tamed? Baby we’re a little different, there’s no need to be ashamed

You’ve got the light to fight the shadows, so stop hiding it away. Come on, Come on

I wanna sing, I wanna shout. I wanna scream till the words dry out…so put it in all of the papers, i’m not afraid. they can read all about it. read all about it oh

Song exercpt from: Read All About It – Emeli Sande

That song is dedicated to all the people who are speaking out about our current SYSTEM.

[ you can listen to it as a background music: Read All About It]

I’ve read a lot about the PORK BARREL SCAM lately. And from these blogs:  MOMANDPOP and DULZSPEAKS

We all know, that the news is not “NEW”. We knew all along our tax are being used that way, but I guess those anonymous comments that gave those mindblowing figures and with rationale made us even go wide-eyed, wide-mouthed, heavens worthy of a shock.

But here’s a view of Social Transformation (which is what I see …. that is happening to our country now)….

This metamorphosis of the caterpillar or worm to a butterfly is a powerful metaphor for societal transformation.  The people who awake to the new possibilities are like the imaginal cells of their own society. The process of societal transformation starts with the emergence of these individuals who carry with them the seeds of the future. They are “imaginal” in that they carry in their innovation an aspect of the image of the future of their society. These innovative individuals, these bearers of the future become the “deviants” of their own society. They are not recognized as the bringers of good. Rather they are attacked as disturbers of the present, destroyers of self-defeating habits of the old society (the caterpillar) which has been superficially framed as the “good life”. In extreme cases, they can be killed. Kennedy, King, Gandhi, Rizal, Bonifacio, Javier, Aquino, and others were killed because they were too dangerous to the system. The auto-immune response of the old society tries to get rid of these visionaries.” – Butterfly Effect, Nicanor Perlas

For a background of the “Butterfly Effect” please click on this link –> Butterfly Effect

My initial reaction to the information given out by them anonymous… was of course.. ANGER.

It made people go screaming mad, some were giving out hopeless comments, that it is the way it is… and all that shizznit… and we cannot do anything about it.

Zilch. Nada. Let’s just keep paying our taxes while they go spend the money or sit on it with their stinkin ass and let them go buy that luxury car or that luxury unit next door while the rest of the working class, keep providing for them and while most of our brothers and sisters still live in shantys and we continue to disempower them.

Well, it’s a system that has been going on for years.. and if you’ve read the blog… if we wanna go “due process”, our laws were made to protect people just like them.

And we can’t possibly do another People Power… because folks.. it’s insane to keep and do the same things over and over again and expecting different results.

So too in society at large. We see chaos all around. We can respond in two ways. We can complain and dis-empower ourselves with a sense of hopelessness. Or we can see this as an external symptom that the old order is collapsing and waiting to be transformed into a level of complexity and order. – The Butterfly Effect,  Nicanor Perlas

There are actually two ways to go about it…. (aside from the fact… that we can just sit back and live our own life).

FIRST OPTION: The Revolution.

Create different groups.

Ask everyone not to pay taxes. Call on the support of the police officials who are fed up of the system. Military officials who will drop their guns against us and pointed to them corrupt..

One group as mercenaries to assassinate all the corrupt bloodlines and leave no one behind (Wow, just like them dark wars).

Then create a different take over group.  One that carries the voice of the multitude….. now who would that be, would be a whole huge debacle. As we overthrow a system… what would ensure us that the system we place would be the perfect system…. etc.. and many other complications will rise from this. Whuddunit. Bright minds should gather and think about how to go through it seamlessly. And how do you know those underground plans wouldn’t be filled with various snakes who can rat against you?

However noble the cause…. revolutions…. that can turn out bloody… cannot be our foundation for a new society that we envision…. for the system that we envision…

SECOND OPTION: Peace is the Way – Butterfly Effect

Well, we have to accept the fact that War cannot drive out War. And that HATE cannot drive out HATE. Only peace is the way…. and only love can drive out hate. only light.. can drive out darkness.

and you can say.. yadda yadda. What is peace to the multitude that is suffering? Yadda Yadda.. how can you say that while the rest of the country are starving? And thats just another bunch of “feel-good” theory.

But, my dear friends…. this is scientifically proven… and in the City that I am living in… we are reaping the results as more and more of us… “USE THIS WAY”.

For a background of the “Butterfly Effect” please click on this link –> Butterfly Effect

We can all do this wherever we are….. situated… whether you are a government official genuinely wanting to serve our nation, a student, a mother, a teacher, a farmer, a lover, a healer, a gasoline boy, and insert all kinds of people…..

#1 –  Envision the kind of Philippines you want to live in. How do you see our politicians? How do you see our system? How do you envision the grandest version of Philippines? Do we see ourselves rising and becoming the Tiger of Asia… how do you envision progress? Would you want it sustainable? Go wild. Visualize the kind of Philippines you want to live in….. what are the values that we would carry as a NATION? Are we living up to our PREAMBLE ? (we have one of the best preambles by the way…)

#2 – In your own little way, what can you do ….. that can aid and support this vision? What initiatives will you take on… to address the challenges that we are facing today?

#3 – Connect with individuals who are doing “heart-based” work for our country, for their own city…. and learn from them.. or invite them to work with you….

#4 – Keep in touch with CHANGE AGENTS. People who are willing to go off the beaten path… back to being – what is true in our NATURE. Our Nature as Human Beings on this planet… as caretakers… and a brother’s keeper.

#5 – Say these … 4 positive phrases that work over and over again in your mind like a tape recorder whenever you are not doing anything: I love you, I am Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank you. 🙂

There is another aspect of the butterfly that moves us from the realm of metaphor to the realm of science. There is the so-called “butterfly effect” of the new science of complexity. We often hear how the flap of a butterfly’s wings can influence weather patterns around the world. Small changes, if properly situated, can cascade and have large scale effects.

In 1969 Margaret Mead said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”. She never imagined that barely a decade later her historical analysis would receive empirical support from natural studies in the form of the new science of complexity. – The Butterfly Effect, Nicanor Perlas

Doing all these.. is not easy. It takes courage to…. do what WORKS for everybody. It takes courage to deviate from things that are normal… to going back to our natural state.

I tell you this path… Option #2… is the hardest part.  The easiest part is not to care.. and not participate.. it’s also very easy to be evil. For people who stick to evil deeds are the ones who aren’t courageous enough to answer the call that their hearts are saying……. but the bravest people I know.. are those people who would FIGHT and STICK TO THE VISION OF THE KIND OF PHILIPPINES WE WANT TO HAVE… and the VALUES that we CARRY as FILIPINOS.

I have high hopes. 🙂 Because, everyday, I meet people who are in the realm of bringing in positive changes, and awesome sustainable solutions to the challenges we have today.

And yes, the old worm cells, will try to eat away…. the imaginal cells… but… let’s carry on and keep transmuting everyone… and activate their Imaginal Self….

Carry on. Spread the Love… Give the Love around. 🙂

Journey On

Fare Well. There’s a reason why it is “fare well” or better yet… “journey on”… and all those “good bye’s”. It’s not that they really left or something… but it’s a Transition to a better place….

Yes, I’m talking about Death whom I see as a Transition to another realm of discoveries, devoid of the weight of one’s physical body which dulls the senses.

Why am I talking about journeying on?

Behind the Scenes of Liwanag

Liwanag World Festival 2013 just ended… (but it just started!!)

I just have to commend and would like to say THANK YOU to each person part of the Liwanag Organizing Team (includes local/national organizers) [Nic P., Ate Shiela, Kuya Jagat, Ate Tressa, Tita Terry, Jim, Ate Tammy] , MISSION members [ Ate Monica, Nalini,  Dad, Mom, Darlene, Paolo, Kuya Jude, Tatay Felcon, Kuya Richie, Kuya Ome, Valerie, Louise, France, Ate Au, Kuya Sam, Ate Rina, Fr. Tito, Lola Bebot, Enrique, Herms, Kuya Vincent, basta lahat MISSION Members with us physically on the event or not], ELDOT (Extended Liwanag Davao Organizing Team), Friends of MISSION, Liwanag Artists, Plenary Speakers, Volunteers and Participants.

ELDOT, LOT, Artists, & some participants (it’s hard to gather the 16 together in one picture! I can’t see one perfect picture with everyone in it!!!)

All of us are volunteers. We have been meeting once a week for 7 months. and 2-3x a week for the next 2 critical crunch time months(December-January). There were like 16 of us. [ Leo, Gina, Melma, Maya, Tina, Kate, Ayyi, Ellen, Lorie, Lester, Carlo, Arjun, Nitta, Rhon, Nick S., Lilli ]. All the sacrifices, the series of lemniscates we all have to go through from personal to economical.

At the beginning of the event knowing the huge task at hand, we have jokingly warned each other: “I hope we are still friends after the event”. Knowing we may get into each other’s nerves, and even more than that have our different ideas clash with another person’s viewpoint.

If you really know each of the ELDOT, all of the personalities are STRONG. And it’s amazing how all our strong personalities was able to deal with each one – perfectly well. Yes, we all had our downtimes….. but as what Nic P. would have it: “Davao Team the ELDOT, handled it gracefully and by the eleventh hour it was even seamless”. (not the right words.. can someone supply the exact words? hehehe)

We had no petty dramas… siguro at the beginning… we’d argue… but then someone would always put the fire out and everyone would begin supporting one another again. It was Bayanihan… in a personal way. Each gained sensitivity to know who is “going through” something or who needs support or “space”.

What was the secret behind everything? We all handled our own demons/shadows before we confront another. If we see something wrong with another person, we confront ourselves first and ask these questions: “What is it in me that needs to be healed? What is it that I have to learn? What is it in me that is being brought to the surface? What would Liwanag do now?”

Of course, along the way… different spiritual practices aided us… and self mastery practices we got from various mentors that graced our path every step of the way. Yes, our journey was filled with teachers……

we have to make risky choices as a group…. and we encountered many “counter-forces” along the way even up to the last minute… almost having no venue *wink wink* at some point. but we stayed true… and committed (though some of us were falling off.. like me… around November on my part). Counter forces sometimes arrive not as something external but it arrives and “eats” you internally if you are not aware of it. It’s that dark moment, that passage you just have to go through… it can be fleeting.. it can be a long dark moment. And it can make you believe that you have a far more important life to live than to make Liwanag happen. But, the thing is… whether you continue the journey as an organizer or not.. Liwanag will always happen. You just have to hang on. To get back on track. And we all did…. on the day…. we picked up many heart-y volunteers… mixed with the curious… and now their fires are burning bright… ahhhh…. the life. 🙂

at the 11th hour of the event.. everyone is still smiling…. despite the challenges.Photo source: Liwanag World Festival

maybe on some future post… i’ll acknowledge what gift that I saw in every ELDOT, and the LOT, the ones I personally know. Liwanag sure was not just an event. Each person involved in Liwanag was “purified” in every way…. i know most of the LOT, MISSION members were all going thru that… (just go back on those days when you started to be involved in Liwanag… and the moments/events that happened right after it).

Liwanag is something you embody within yourself and share it to others… thus Be The Light. Share the Light. 🙂

Nic P. even said: “The performance of the Bayanihan Dancers of the Singkil during the Liwanag World Festival, was like a physical representation and manifestation of how ELDOT handled LWF(a huge/complicated task) in a graceful way…which almost brought me to tears (i was holding back).”

Note: This post is an understatement to what each organizer experienced along the way. All our personal relationships, day to day life was rocked….. mind you. I’ve seen how each supported another, or gives space if one needs it… basta it was Bayanihan on a personal level.
