There is so much going on

Everything’s happening fast!

Trainings here and there.

But, amidst all that our city is filled with challenges… One, there is the burning Mt.Apo and second, well this issue is far from us but it’s happening to our nearby brothers and sisters in Kidapawan.

The incident can be deemed as tragic and yes it is, but with it came the realization that our nature is asking for our help and our spirit are asking for us to wake up.

Wake up!

How do we solve all these?

We can do it by coming together hand in hand and offering whatever small or big contribution we can.

I am also amazed at the Bayanihan spirit that our culture is blessed with.

On a personal level, I have been reflecting and God and the angels have always been anchoring and reminding me to just forgive.

And from that forgiveness comes my salvation.

Yes, I forgive the world. I Forgive myself and I forgive you.

Angel blessings to you all! ❤️💕

That Wild Dream

Early this week, it seemed like a wild dream has ended as Mayor Duterte chose to release an official statement that he is not running.

While I see this as one of his cunning strategies where he gets publicity minus the exorbitant fees media often asks of politicians, a lot of people were apparently dismayed.

A lot has messaged me expressing their disappointment. One even likened it to a breakup with a boyfriend. So, I told one of my friends… I will only cry if he doesn’t file at the last day. And if he doesn’t, we will all lament at Goat’s Eye together and get ourselves drunk. But, before that I am still 100% sure he is running.

At the onset that people has been pushing mayor to run, I believed his first ever: “No, I am not running.” Because, to us.. Mayor is a man who kept his word.

And if he says No, it is NO. If he says he will do something about it. He will do something about it. He is impeccable that way.

But then, I began doubting the statement as a strategy when he gives out clues that he may just run whenever he says: “If  I were President…..” or “Being a President is Destiny…” and in the last few weeks: “Only Divine Intervention…”

And for the last 3 months, I knew all along. He was stringing the media and his opponents by saying No, while encouraging the people to ask him to run. Meanwhile, in my travels in Luzon and Visayas and parts of Mindanao. I often hear them wanting mayor to run and I assured everyone he will.

While many are disappointed that he keeps changing his mind. I understand Mayor Duterte’s position. Call it strategy or whatsoever. But that is the only way he has without needing that much fund to campaign. There are also impending danger that if he says it too early, a group may just decide to assassinate him! (okay, ive been watching too many movies). Or his opponents can prepare to assassinate his character by releasing issues that can mar his reputation. So, if he keeps saying NO, while giving out clues, he keeps the opponents guessing. Unable to move. And giving them no time until the last day to eliminate him. Because 3 months before the filing of candidacy should be the time you are given to eliminate your opponent by giving them issues. Poe had the citizenship issue, Roxas had the “paloy” effect that people does not like, and Binay’s case.

But, there could be an inner conflict. There are so many things to consider. One, he will be needing to leave Davao City to Mayor Inday Sara who refused until the end and stood her ground that she wanted a private life. Second, the lack of funds. While many expressed their support voluntarily and waived the fee (he even had billboards and advertisements all sponsored by his loving supporters without cost), it can be a problem. Because, he will be up against opponents with budgets that would range from 50Billion to 500 billion! Crazy, right? Third, the possibility of losing because the lack of machineries. I dont even know what that means but welll, its an open secret. And let’s continue to pretend it does not exist, can be an obstacle.

Anyway, whether Mayor Duterte decides to run or not. He has my respect. He does not owe our country anything. By asking him to run we also need to respect how he would weigh his decision. It is not easy to be the President. It’s the worst job in the world to people with good intentions, specially if you will be presiding over the Philippines. What can 6 years in office do? He can start a revolution, yes. But, it may take more than 6 years to achieve what we have today in Davao. It took him 27 years to build Davao the way it is now. It did not happen in an instant. From killing fields of the South to becoming the #2 Safest Place in the World.

It also took a city with people who believed in Davao and it’s people. It took discipline and cooperation and more than that… the vision to keep Davao peaceful and progressive and to attain a development that is sustainable.

If we ask him to run, I hope we don’t do it because we will have another scapegoat to blame our problems on. We as the citizens of the Philippines should also do our part, our initiative to keep our country attain sustainable development. We, should also recognize our responsibility. Because, change does not depend on one leader but by the efforts of the mass. Though, it is impossible to ask the mass not to complain and blame,  I ask the leaders and the mutants of the country to keep doing your own effort, in your own city. No task is too small for it has a huge affect to the big picture.

Whether your field is in politics, environment, education, entertainment, spirituality, business among others, I ask that you hold a vision of our country. How do you see it, 20 years from now? What would our country be like? Keep your positive vision. Because, that is what made Davao City. It is the vision of the people and our leader that made the city the way it is now. It is not perfect. But, it has made a huge 360 degree change and is continuing to improve.

We are responsible for our country. Yan ang #TunayNaPagbabago

While we all believe that he is destined, what we can all ask for now is Divine Intervention.

Today, Mayor Sara gave everyone a ray of hope as she shaved her head and posted:

nagpa upaw nalang ko samtang naghulat #Duterte2016 #kalboparasapagbabago #NohairWecare bisan walay kwarta, bisan way makinarya, bisan mapildi #justDUit

“Nagpakalbo habang naghihintay #Duterte2016 #kalboparasapagbabago #NohairWecare kahit walang pera, kahit walang makinarya, kahit matalo #justDUit

And i heard the Councilors of Davao had their shaves head too.

For now, we wait.

2014: It’s Bliss!

2014 has been very good. I can say I have begun to shed off things I deem not my priority and began to really pick up areas in my life I want to focus on. (My declarations really paid off: Pure Bliss 2014)

Primarily, I have been cherishing one of God’s greatest gift to me: Boo. I know, he has been the talk of the year in my blog, because it’s an area I have been holding back for most of my life. But, with him, I feel I am ready. And with that, everything is just happening in God’s perfect time. I have grown a lot, he showed me in so many ways areas of me that I have masked. And if i have to enumerate them, I may just cry! I have also encountered areas of me that did not grow up and very much “madrama”. In the end, I learned how to balance being me… (and part of that is still madrama sweetheart!)… and how to express it in a healthy way. I thought, I’d be spending my holidays with my boo, but I guess its not yet the time. (Miracles take some timeeee!) In fact, he is not with me today! He is off somewhere on a vacay… T_T But, it’s alright. We have chosen to just go gaze at the moon when the clock strikes 12. Oh please weather be good! I miss him. It was also this year that I got my first ever bouquet from a guy!!!(and from boo pa!!!) *soooooo kilig* And i got two babies: Boobear and Boocholit!!! This year also we had our first year anniversary as TsulitTeam! ❤ and our 2nd year anniversary since the day we met! It was also my first time to cook up a birthday surprise to someone I love! It was funnnn!!!! ❤

Family….. this year brought us closer together with all that has been happening. It has been a sweet, meaningful, intimate Christmas with just us and the whole household celebrating. We also gained a new addition to the family: Woody! Who also gave us a scare for a good five days because he got lotst. Good thing the angels brought him back!! he is the yin to our yang! Huwaaaa!!! He is absolutely friendly! Darlene alsooo got to travel with us! The best!

Our Community, has gone through a bump, which challenged beliefs and relationships.. and where we really stand in our mission to contribute to our community, city, Philippines, Asia and the world. I think this year was more of introspection… albeit all the events together… but different soulful journey to each and everyone.

A lot of friends came and a lot left town and out of the country.

This year was definitely filled with engagements! My facebook is flooded with feeds of rings on fingers. Which is a wonderful sign! That means, most of my friends are actually living their dreams. aside from all the celebrities that got engaged and married (one being my favorite… dong and marian. not because its hyped up like it is… but because of how their relationship really stood the test of time.) Also, the day they were engaged, they had a dinner at the same restaurant we were in… and it was another [insert twilight zone music here] affirmation. Affirmation, that everyone is gearing up for their next level in relationships.

At the beginning of the year… I did a financial timeline to my 5 cousins (young-uns) and I’m happy to see 2 of them are actually working on it as I write. And has been handling their finances creatively. I have also got reports and random messages about how they are grateful they have cleared up their liabilities and started to take on their savings.

I also experienced Bagyong Glenda…. in Manila, having my flight cancelled… and another one having my flight rebooked because of Bagyong Ruby.

It was also this year that I entered a dance club but only this time it was back to the 80’s themed! It was absolutely fun! I have my boo to thank for pushing me to enjoy! (Although, I would have preferred he was with me:P)

Also, this year Ate Honey commented I improved in my speaking/workshop craft! Whoopeee! More confident and a bit grown up whoopee! *somersaults*

It was my first to do yoga for almost 2 months. Usually, I do it intermittently. But, along the road it got lost and sooo once again… im bringing it back up on schedule.

I also got to catch up with Lola B, Kathy, Ate Grace whom I haven’t seen for ages!!!! It was refreshing to see them! Also caught up with other friends: Resh, Ate Riz, Ate Jolly, JV, Ana…. among others….

Global:

A lot of things happened that are of concern to me. First off, the planes that went missing, the plane crashes, it was a weird statistics this year. Also Vietnam noted it was a weird year of accidents too. I also learned a lot of things during my two trips. This time, I actually listened well in between my rest! The ongoing global unrest and want of greed and more power, and thus igniting wars.

Philippines on one hand, exposed a lot of corrupt individuals, even though there isn’t much, the fact that they are under public scrutiny is a big change already.

Despite this, there are many things to learn; that amidst all these chaos, one day there will be order. In between all the pain and heartbreaks, and challenges… your real power .. that which is within you… called Love.. will emerge… and then it will soar…

All in all, I am grateful for all the blessings, the insights, the loving memories, the challenges and the growth that came after this year.

Thank you for 2014. 🙂

Meeting of the Titans

What a day! What a way to spend the first day of April…. I don’t even know where to start because this is one of the days.. I will want to remember…

It started out with a sweet morning with my darlingboo… and with him giving me my first april fool’s joke!

Boo: Break na tayo!
Me: Ha??? Why? Huhuhuhu
Boo: Wehehe. April Fool’s!!
Me: Hay salaaamaat!!! Kala ko totoo
Boo: bakit ? Gf ba kita?
Me: Ay oo nga pala! Hihihi BF lang nga naman kita, at BF mo ko.. And di yun nab-break eh!

I swear! Lakas naman bumawi ni boo.

After my usual sweet extraordinary morning with him..

I got myself ready for this big day! Today, I initiated a meet-up with two of my mentors. One is Hawaiian visiting us and another is a Filipino.

I knew they are destined to meet! And what better way, than to fetch the Hawaiian mentor whom I will call BC and my Filipino Mentor whom i will call Ninang…..

When BC saw me earlier as I fetched him, he said: You know, you have a gift… It is your presence… It makes people wanna go: *sigh* and relaxed… Like a wave of relief. Well, i know you are not like this sometimes cause you go through challenges on your own… But, when you are like this.. Peaceful.. This is you….

I laughed and was humbled to hear that and thanked him for the affirmation that I am doing my part in giving service to humanity and the people around me by my mere presence.

Ever since I attended the workshop of BC last September of year 2012… I had a flash that Ninang needs to meet him.

BC visited many times after that but never had the chance to sit down with ninang. They did meet once in Manila….but that was it.

Anyway, the initial plan was just to drop BC off and I won’t stay that long.. But then when I was about to leave, they both asked me to stay.

The Titans asked me to stay?!!!! Of course, I stayed and listened to the whole conversation…

How both of them have similar mission and purpose in life. What I admire about them is that both of them are clear with what they are doing and have given up all the extravagant lifestyle to live simply so they can teach others to simply live! They are here to help spread love and respect and to walk the talk… And how you can use your own gifts God gave you to aid in the journey of spreading love, kindness and peace and abundace throughout humankind…

With BC, he always emphasizes: No one should be left behind.

Both of them are concerned how to reach the grassroots because we all need to help them.

And with that a strong alliance was made… Both of them are coming up of ways to support the healing and the birthing of love in the deep recess of our hearts…

I had goosebumps and a lot of a-ha moments listening to the two of them…

There were just so many things happening! And it’s like something sure is happening around the world.. Because why the two needs to meet? And with urgency to gather all…. to aid the healing.. of all relationships, and bringing in Love… And to Respect another.

I served them lunch that time.. I dropped off BC at a certain mall and on the way.. I squealed when I heard a faint familiar music playing in the background:

“And i can change the world, I will be the sunlight in your universe”

I said: BC!!!!! Listen to the song!

And he smiled and said: That’s a sign! Because what we had in mind will change the world 🙂

They had a discussion that America is slowly losing its identity because it doesn’t know it’s roots. Only Hawaii has a culture left, but its being westernized day by day and many young are forgetting the roots. And it doesn’t have culture unlike most countries like the Philippines. The only way America will find itself is through war because they were founded through war. It has gone numb.

But, in the Philippines it is here that BC found the most faith-based country. Everything spiritual is very automatic in the Philippines. Everyone anchors with God and our Source…. that’s why he keeps coming back.
And it is here he feels most love…..

After that the song “Someday We’ll Know” played and we had a brief discussion about the missing Malaysian plane… And then “Sleeping Child”

Those three songs gave us affirmation the connection of our Divine life purpose to the world..

Afterwards, I conducted a workshop.. Its our last session and our closing and it went really well.. Its a different story altogether…

And then after that.. We headed off to another office of ours… And met the others where we stayed till quarter to 11? Or something… And discussed about what more we can bring in … and how we can better service the world…through our friends and families and people who will come to us … and journey with.

But, not after giving everybody the april fool’s joke that BC and ninang’s meeting did not go well and they had a huge fight..
Some caught the joke right away.. The others their faces were like: Huwaaaaay??? Huwaaat?!!! How can that beee?!!

So laughtripppp!!

My day ended well too .. Boo stayed up with me till our ka-meet arrived… And and and I saw sweet ecards on my inbox… I was so touched with that. It’s one of my boo’s winning moves! You always make me happy talaga!

It’s the fourth month… And not even halfway 2014 but im experiencing bliss with my boo and everybody around me.
To the point someone mentioned..

“I like your makeup today!!”

And i was like: But, i didnt wear any makeup at all today?

Ahhh must be my happy aura.. Since my vision is happening.. And I know and i am rested because i havethe support of my family and friends and my boo to come home to.. At night and to wake up with every morning….

I also thank my Loving Father, the Source, my God… of always guiding me.. I know there are times I doubt myself but the past two weeks … Your message was: Believe….
Which affirmed me to believe in what I do… And what You want me to do…
And last Saturday your message was: Love

Thank you…

I do believe…

Yours in Love,

Liberty

cheerful bouquets

Cheerful bouquets sounds so Spring-ish!

and, well yesterday … or was it today? that it’s the Day 1 of Spring!!! or to some they celebrate what they call Spring Equinox or Ostara!!! 🙂

And well with that a lot of Spring Cleaning has come to surface. and its best to just carry on and do the cleaning yourself, whether it be a certain home space, physical, or emotional and spiritual baggage in stored.

It was supposed to be a portosawa date with my Boo today, but he is well feeling under the weather the past few days. But, he was very thoughtful enough to spend our day listening to Ninang on the radio, to which she greeted us twice!!! Oh ha? Both of us felt very elated! Thanks Ninang!!! (and i have to commend Boo’s effort to be on time, as he cooked the crabs fast and with a warning he said: “Lagot kayo ni Ninang pag di masarap ang crabs!) Boo talaga! Those are my fun memories with Boo.

To my Boo, I hope you get a good rest tonight, I know the past few days, I’ve been quiet close to impossible, appearing with my demands (thanks for being extra patient on this). When I could just instead love and support your wishes and desires. Sawree!

But, I would really miss the morning ritual with you…. *sigh* Angels angels make me sleep till 6am or 7am… dont wake me up na super early…. T_T

And below is the get Spring Started List from Vineyard Vines. Woot woot!!!

tumblr_n2qx2v1yyC1qzv3vjo1_500I love Spring, for the reason that flowers are blooming! And it sounds like a perfect fun day to go wear your sundress, riding a bicycle with flowers on your basket, as you sing merrily…… huwaaaaa. If Boo is nearby, and we live in  a country-setting, I’d prolly go visit him all the time with my bicycle, and bring him his favorite comfort foods and some herbs (to which he would cringe) and lots of citrus… so he would be well. { it’s good to dream now and then!!!}

Anyhow, I just wish to greet everybody… Happy Spring!!!!! {kahit walang Spring sa Pinas, nyahahhahaha} and grateful to God for this awesome season!! 🙂

Read All About It: Pork Barrell Scam

You’ve got the words to change a nation, but you’re biting your tongue. You’ve spent a life time stuck in silence, afraid you’ll say something wrong.

If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song. So come on ,come on…Come on, come on

You’ve got a heart as loud as lions, So why let your voice be tamed? Baby we’re a little different, there’s no need to be ashamed

You’ve got the light to fight the shadows, so stop hiding it away. Come on, Come on

I wanna sing, I wanna shout. I wanna scream till the words dry out…so put it in all of the papers, i’m not afraid. they can read all about it. read all about it oh

Song exercpt from: Read All About It – Emeli Sande

That song is dedicated to all the people who are speaking out about our current SYSTEM.

[ you can listen to it as a background music: Read All About It]

I’ve read a lot about the PORK BARREL SCAM lately. And from these blogs:  MOMANDPOP and DULZSPEAKS

We all know, that the news is not “NEW”. We knew all along our tax are being used that way, but I guess those anonymous comments that gave those mindblowing figures and with rationale made us even go wide-eyed, wide-mouthed, heavens worthy of a shock.

But here’s a view of Social Transformation (which is what I see …. that is happening to our country now)….

This metamorphosis of the caterpillar or worm to a butterfly is a powerful metaphor for societal transformation.  The people who awake to the new possibilities are like the imaginal cells of their own society. The process of societal transformation starts with the emergence of these individuals who carry with them the seeds of the future. They are “imaginal” in that they carry in their innovation an aspect of the image of the future of their society. These innovative individuals, these bearers of the future become the “deviants” of their own society. They are not recognized as the bringers of good. Rather they are attacked as disturbers of the present, destroyers of self-defeating habits of the old society (the caterpillar) which has been superficially framed as the “good life”. In extreme cases, they can be killed. Kennedy, King, Gandhi, Rizal, Bonifacio, Javier, Aquino, and others were killed because they were too dangerous to the system. The auto-immune response of the old society tries to get rid of these visionaries.” – Butterfly Effect, Nicanor Perlas

For a background of the “Butterfly Effect” please click on this link –> Butterfly Effect

My initial reaction to the information given out by them anonymous… was of course.. ANGER.

It made people go screaming mad, some were giving out hopeless comments, that it is the way it is… and all that shizznit… and we cannot do anything about it.

Zilch. Nada. Let’s just keep paying our taxes while they go spend the money or sit on it with their stinkin ass and let them go buy that luxury car or that luxury unit next door while the rest of the working class, keep providing for them and while most of our brothers and sisters still live in shantys and we continue to disempower them.

Well, it’s a system that has been going on for years.. and if you’ve read the blog… if we wanna go “due process”, our laws were made to protect people just like them.

And we can’t possibly do another People Power… because folks.. it’s insane to keep and do the same things over and over again and expecting different results.

So too in society at large. We see chaos all around. We can respond in two ways. We can complain and dis-empower ourselves with a sense of hopelessness. Or we can see this as an external symptom that the old order is collapsing and waiting to be transformed into a level of complexity and order. – The Butterfly Effect,  Nicanor Perlas

There are actually two ways to go about it…. (aside from the fact… that we can just sit back and live our own life).

FIRST OPTION: The Revolution.

Create different groups.

Ask everyone not to pay taxes. Call on the support of the police officials who are fed up of the system. Military officials who will drop their guns against us and pointed to them corrupt..

One group as mercenaries to assassinate all the corrupt bloodlines and leave no one behind (Wow, just like them dark wars).

Then create a different take over group.  One that carries the voice of the multitude….. now who would that be, would be a whole huge debacle. As we overthrow a system… what would ensure us that the system we place would be the perfect system…. etc.. and many other complications will rise from this. Whuddunit. Bright minds should gather and think about how to go through it seamlessly. And how do you know those underground plans wouldn’t be filled with various snakes who can rat against you?

However noble the cause…. revolutions…. that can turn out bloody… cannot be our foundation for a new society that we envision…. for the system that we envision…

SECOND OPTION: Peace is the Way – Butterfly Effect

Well, we have to accept the fact that War cannot drive out War. And that HATE cannot drive out HATE. Only peace is the way…. and only love can drive out hate. only light.. can drive out darkness.

and you can say.. yadda yadda. What is peace to the multitude that is suffering? Yadda Yadda.. how can you say that while the rest of the country are starving? And thats just another bunch of “feel-good” theory.

But, my dear friends…. this is scientifically proven… and in the City that I am living in… we are reaping the results as more and more of us… “USE THIS WAY”.

For a background of the “Butterfly Effect” please click on this link –> Butterfly Effect

We can all do this wherever we are….. situated… whether you are a government official genuinely wanting to serve our nation, a student, a mother, a teacher, a farmer, a lover, a healer, a gasoline boy, and insert all kinds of people…..

#1 –  Envision the kind of Philippines you want to live in. How do you see our politicians? How do you see our system? How do you envision the grandest version of Philippines? Do we see ourselves rising and becoming the Tiger of Asia… how do you envision progress? Would you want it sustainable? Go wild. Visualize the kind of Philippines you want to live in….. what are the values that we would carry as a NATION? Are we living up to our PREAMBLE ? (we have one of the best preambles by the way…)

#2 – In your own little way, what can you do ….. that can aid and support this vision? What initiatives will you take on… to address the challenges that we are facing today?

#3 – Connect with individuals who are doing “heart-based” work for our country, for their own city…. and learn from them.. or invite them to work with you….

#4 – Keep in touch with CHANGE AGENTS. People who are willing to go off the beaten path… back to being – what is true in our NATURE. Our Nature as Human Beings on this planet… as caretakers… and a brother’s keeper.

#5 – Say these … 4 positive phrases that work over and over again in your mind like a tape recorder whenever you are not doing anything: I love you, I am Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank you. 🙂

There is another aspect of the butterfly that moves us from the realm of metaphor to the realm of science. There is the so-called “butterfly effect” of the new science of complexity. We often hear how the flap of a butterfly’s wings can influence weather patterns around the world. Small changes, if properly situated, can cascade and have large scale effects.

In 1969 Margaret Mead said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”. She never imagined that barely a decade later her historical analysis would receive empirical support from natural studies in the form of the new science of complexity. – The Butterfly Effect, Nicanor Perlas

Doing all these.. is not easy. It takes courage to…. do what WORKS for everybody. It takes courage to deviate from things that are normal… to going back to our natural state.

I tell you this path… Option #2… is the hardest part.  The easiest part is not to care.. and not participate.. it’s also very easy to be evil. For people who stick to evil deeds are the ones who aren’t courageous enough to answer the call that their hearts are saying……. but the bravest people I know.. are those people who would FIGHT and STICK TO THE VISION OF THE KIND OF PHILIPPINES WE WANT TO HAVE… and the VALUES that we CARRY as FILIPINOS.

I have high hopes. 🙂 Because, everyday, I meet people who are in the realm of bringing in positive changes, and awesome sustainable solutions to the challenges we have today.

And yes, the old worm cells, will try to eat away…. the imaginal cells… but… let’s carry on and keep transmuting everyone… and activate their Imaginal Self….

Carry on. Spread the Love… Give the Love around. 🙂

Boses the Movie

July 11, 2013 – I received an sms invite by the Happy Team of a free film showing @ Cinematheque and another call of the same film but from Tuburan Institute. Both of them are co-presenters.

So, since I’m quiet free that time, I said, yes. All I remember of the invite, it was entitled: “The Heart Speaks”, and the live violin by The Cast.

I was surprised to see that I was actually seeing Boses the Movie! I saw an ad running over at TV one time, and I remember saying to myself: “I wanna watch that film”. And what good luck!

And what a pleasant surprise to meet various people I know @ the film showing and the amazing people I just met! Woot.

julian duque & coke bolipata (with the Philippine Air Force who supports the Film’s Advocacy)

a musician and an artist, the only living son of the first Governor of Davao… Gov. Generoso. thanks tito leo for introducing Davao’s Treasure.

and ta-da…. the Film Director – Ms. Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil

bosesthemovie

I’m so enthused by her passion and advocacy… she’s been showing the film around the Philippines the past couple of years for free.. and just recently some government agencies are showing interest and supporting her already. Like DEPED and the Philippine Air Force, who were with us during the film showing. Since, the captain himself is a supporter.

And Julian Duque and Coke Bolipata (who is a Julliard graduate by the way!) were just simply SUPERB!! they rendered 3 music using their violins. Ahhhh I consider them our National Treasure! Way to go.. and cheers for movies like this. 🙂
