Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a half-human, half-lion Sphinx statue found in Egypt. It is also the largest monolith statue in the world and one of the world’s oldest statue.

The Great Sphinx was believed to stand as a guardian of the Giza Plateau, where it faces the rising sun. In the Old Kingdom, it was the focus of solar worship. It’s LION form, has long been a symbol associated with the sun in ancient civilizations.

With all it’s grandeur in history, nowadays it is facing one of the world’s famous franchise – Kentucky Fried Chicken. Yikes. Of all the opponents to face… it’s facing a chicken for crying out loud.
